Pelham Living, new lifestyle magazine, aims to connect families and businesses
Best Version Media is introducing Pelham Living magazine in April with plans to feature a local family on the cover of every issue and to publish community-centered articles.
The mission of the monthly magazine is to provide family-friendly, educational articles written by community members, said Publisher Bonnie Dougan. Local people can submit articles once the first issue is published.
“The magazine is meant to bring the community together,” Dougan said. “There will be some fun activities in the publication that will help to (get) the community talking, you know people talking and getting excited about what’s coming next.”
Dougan will be using residents and businesses to recommend Pelham families for the cover, or families can email Dougan if they would like to be featured.
“I will also utilize the real estate agents and the chamber of commerce to see if they have families,” she said. “Or any other family or friend can sort of nominate someone and as long as that family would like to be on the cover.”
The Pelham Chamber of Commerce has helped the magazine make contacts with local businesses to sponsor publication of Pelham Living. The businesses will buy ads and branding in each issue. Residents will not have to pay to receive the magazine. For now, each issue will be delivered to houses in the Town of Pelham, then later to apartment buildings.
To submit stories, families for the cover and feature ideas, email [email protected] or call (914) 648-6573.
