School board to elect president, vp at meeting Friday at 4:30 pm, hold public hearings on code of conduct and safety plan

The Board of Education will meet at 4pm on Friday, July 7, 2023 in Room 280 in Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. It is anticipated that the Board will immediately consider a motion to enter executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person(s). The Board is expected to reconvene in public at approximately 4:30pm for its annual reorganization meeting in the Pelham Middle School Library. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube live.
Members of the public may attend the meeting in-person.
At the meeting, the District Clerk will swear-in recently elected trustees Annemarie Garcia and Sidney Burke. The Board will also elect its president and vice president.
Following the reorganization meeting, the Board will hold a regular business meeting. The Board will also hold public hearings on the draft Code of Conduct and Safety Plan.
The Board may also review and/or adopt the following policies: Policy #7110: Comprehensive Student Attendance Policy; Policy #5220: District Investments; Policy #5410: Purchasing; Policy #5110: Budget Planning and Development; and Policy #6215: Probation and Tenure. These policies will be available for review on BoardDocs as part of the meeting agenda.
At the conclusion of the Business Meeting, the Board will hold its annual Board retreat in the Pelham Memorial High School Library, Room 105E, located at 575 Colonial Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803.
