Vote for Clive Anderson for town council: ‘a man of service and community’

To the editor:

I am Joan Brisson, a 25-year resident of Pelham, and I firmly support Clive Anderson for town council. I have known Anderson since he came to our town in 2014, first as an employer, then as a friend and then again as a supportive, professional funeral director when my mother passed away in 2019.

As an employer, Anderson was collaborative, communicative and always striving for excellence.

As a friend, Anderson has been there for me and my family, in good times as well as in bad.

One question I often ask when voting for someone is, “Why are they running for this position?” In Anderson’s case, there is no ulterior motive, no hidden agenda, no power grab. He does not need to run. However, since he is a man of service and community, he wants to run, to give back and to move our town forward.

Anderson was very proud to be made a naturalized citizen of the United States and treasures the honor. He takes community advocacy very seriously, as seen by his dedication to many worthwhile and civically centered groups, including the Pelham Civic Association and the Danny Fund.

Anderson’s work ethic is unparalleled. From a young age, Anderson has been an example of hard work and dedication. In refurbishing, revitalizing and rededicating the Pelham Funeral Home to the concept of celebrating life, he has given comfort and healing to countless families.

I strongly urge you to join me in voting for Clive Anderson on Nov. 7. As town councilman, he will bring the same work ethic, passion and excellence that he has shown toward his business, friends and family. He will help the Pelham community continue to thrive.
