Supports Clive Anderson for town council as person who cares deeply about what happens in Pelham

To the editor:

It is an honor to endorse a good friend of mine and of the Pelham community—Clive Anderson for town council.

Those running for election on this local level should have as their first goal the welfare of the residents they serve. Knowledge of what’s going on at the state, federal and international level is, of course, necessary, but doing the best job possible for those of us who live in Pelham should take precedence over everything else.

I believe that Anderson is that type of person. He cares deeply about what happens here. He belongs to organizations which have the same concerns—the Pelham Civic Association, the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and the Danny Fund—to name just a few. He is the owner of the Pelham Funeral Home, and his dedication and care for the families is unsurpassed. So, he brings to the table the qualities we look for in our representatives: an excellent business sense, compassion, honor and a strong sense of duty.

We are all neighbors, and we are all impacted by the choices we make. I know this firsthand because I served the Village of Pelham as trustee and mayor for 21 years. I am a registered Democrat and I have supported Democratic candidates and Republican candidates for all the years that I have voted. I have always tried to find the person who I believe will do the best job for Pelham.

This election I urge you to vote for Clive Anderson!
