Several streets in Pelham were closed off with caution tape and the upper common area of Pelham Memorial High School was out of use Monday due to flooding from the nor’easter that dropped almost two inches of rain on the area as of 8:25 a.m.
One tree fell on Third Avenue. A police car blocked off Fourth Avenue leading to the Sanborn Map Building, while a fire truck was parked outside the building at around 7:15 a.m.
Another tree fell on the corner of Pelhamdale and First Street.
Wind gusts so far topped out at 43 miles per hour at 5 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Both the Village of Pelham and the Village of Pelham Manor sent out emails before the storm alerting residents to potential storm impacts. As of yet, there have been no official statements on the impacts of the nor’easter in either village.
