If elected Pelham Manor trustees, Pringle and Cardwell will work to solve problems of flooding, lawsuits and rising taxes

To the editor:

I write to you today with great enthusiasm to endorse Kate Pringle and Mark Cardwell for election to the Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustees. In these two individuals, we find a blend of dedication, expertise and community spirit that promises not only to preserve but to enhance the quality of life in our beloved village.

Pringle’s extensive legal career, including her role as a litigation partner and her contributions both locally and nationally, showcases her exceptional ability to navigate complex legal and ethical issues. She has been board chairwoman of Bread for the World, an advisor for the Cipalo Village School and Clinic in Zambia, and locally, Pringle has been deeply involved in the Pelham Art Center and Huguenot Church. Her commitment to these organizations underscores her dedication to fostering community growth and are an example of how she will collaborate as a trustee.

Cardwell’s dedication to public safety, through his volunteer work as a firefighter and EMT, underscores his commitment to the wellbeing of every Pelham Manor resident. His experience in government and nonprofit leadership positions equip him with the skills necessary for effective listening and collaboration with our fine village teams. Cardwell’s focus on improving emergency services, combating the threats of flooding and ensuring fiscal responsibility aligns with the immediate and long-term needs of our community.

Together, Pringle and Cardwell embody the principles of dedicated service, thoughtful leadership and a proactive approach to solving the issues we face: flooding, pending lawsuits and stopping the runaway increases in village taxes. Their combined strengths offer Pelham Manor a unique opportunity to harness collaborative energy, expertise and a shared vision for a safer, more vibrant and financially responsible future.

I have every confidence that Pringle and Cardwell will serve our community with distinction, always putting the interests and safety of Pelham Manor residents first. Their leadership will not only address our current challenges but will also lay the groundwork for a thriving, inclusive and resilient community.

I want to thank the current board for their efforts, and I urge you to join me in supporting Kate Pringle and Mark Cardwell for the Pelham Manor Board of Trustees on March 19. PS: Remember the election is held at the Pelham Manor Firehouse, 4 Penfield Place.
