Anita DeGregorio – April 12

Anita L. DeGregorio, a beloved resident of Bronx, New York, passed away on April 12th, 2024, just one month shy of her 86th birthday. Born in the Bronx to Luciano “Bob” and Angelina “Lena” DeGregorio, Anita was the youngest of three children. Raised in the Bronx, she attended Walton High School before graduating from Lehman College, where she pursued her passion for paralegal studies.

From a young age, Anita found joy in music and ballet dancing. As she grew older, her enthusiasm shifted to watching the Yankees play. She had an incredible memory for sports, keeping track of players’ stats and batting averages with meticulous detail. Anita also cherished traveling, participating in bowling leagues, and above all, caring for her parents. Her love extended to all her nieces and nephews.

Anita’s career as a paralegal spanned various companies, including Dell Electronics and North Star Construction. In later years, she found fulfillment working alongside her nephew, Thomas DeGregorio Esq.

A woman of profound faith, Anita found solace in prayer and was described as having a heart as vast as the sky. She exuded independence and generosity, always appreciative of even the smallest gestures of kindness.

Anita is survived by her sister, Emma Allman, and her nieces and nephews: Denise (Joseph) Kinsella, Judi (Emil) Villanova, Cathy (Michael) Delgardo, and Thomas (Claudia) DeGregorio. She is also survived by her grandnieces; Diane (Daniel) Brown, Jackie Passanante and grandnephews; Brian (Dana) Villanova, Micheal (Elisa) Delgardo and Frankie DeGregorio and many great grand nieces and grand nephews who brought her immense joy. Anita was preceded in death by her brother, Frank DeGregorio, her nephew, Robert DeGregorio, her brother-in-law, Maurice Allman, and sister-in-law, Kathleen DeGregorio. Anita will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located at 575 Fowler Avenue, Pelham, New York, on Friday April 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
