PMHS senior Ines Rollan named Rotary Scholar of the Month for April

Rotary Club of the Pelhams recognized PMHS senior Ines Rollan as Marilyn Stiefvater Scholar of the Month for April.

She has studied Mandarin for five years. A member of the Interact Club which is affiliated with Rotary, she participated in the Westchester Alzheimer’s Walk. She is captain of the cheerleading team. In September she plans to attend Weslyen and major in astronomy.

A second Scholar of the Month for April could not attend the Rotary meeting to receive recognition but has been invited to attend the May 22 Rotary meeting where May and June Scholars of the Month are scheduled to attend.

In addition to the Scholars of the Month program during the school year, the Rotary Club awards a $15,000 scholarship to a graduating PMHS senior in June. Rotary is currently accepting donations for the scholarship program through its website at pelhamrotary.com.
