Alfred Mosiello Jr. – May 2

Alfred Robert Mosiello, Jr. (Ally), age 42, passed away from injuries sustained in an off-duty accident at his home May 2, 2024.

Al was born on February 7, 1982 in Bronx, NY, the cherished son of Alfred and Julianne Torre-Mosiello and beloved younger brother of Dena. He grew up in Mahopac, NY and graduated from Mahopac High School in 2000 where he was a defensive lineman on the football team (#71) for 6 years. He continued his education and love for football (also #71) at Hobart College graduating in 2005, with an Assoc. in Engineering and a B.S. in Economics/Finance and forged lasting friendships in his fraternity, Kappa Sigma (ΚΣ).

In 2015, Al married the love of his life, Angela, with whom he shared 15 years of laughter, love, and companionship. Together, they raised a beautiful family and created countless memories that will be cherished forever.

He was a dedicated Police Officer, known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. Al began his career in 2013 with the Village of Pelham Manor Police Department. He went on to join the Westchester County Police Department in 2021. He was also a member of the Patrol Services Division. He took pride in his work and was respected by colleagues and friends, alike.

Outside of work, Al found joy in hunting, tending to dogs and chickens, riding ATV’s with his children, throwing pool parties and often spending weekends with family and friends pursuing his passions. Al loved being outdoors with his little partner in crime, his buddy Jaxson. Wherever Al was, Jaxson was always two steps behind. Jaxson was his little shadow and best helper. They loved cutting the grass, building things together, plowing the snow and riding their quad’s together. He also loved getting beautified by his little princess, Isabella, painting nails, dressing up and playing barbies.

Al is most known for his uncanny ability to always be willing to rescue friends in need, regardless of time or place. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for a friend or family member.

Al was a loving father to Jaxson and Isabella, a role model delighting in every moment spent with them and imparting wisdom and love at every opportunity.

Al will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He had a knack for bringing joy to those around him and made every gathering brighter with his infectious laughter, strong personality, warm smile and his fierce blend of determination, persistence and grit.

Visitation to honor Al’s life will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2:00-9:00pm at Yorktown Funeral Home. Funeral mass is Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Though he may be gone, Al’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Angela; his 2 children Jaxson and Isabella; his beloved dog Ruger; his parents Alfred Sr. and Julie; and his sister Dena (Andrew). May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
