During the session, the board also discussed closing Fifth Avenue from the Pelham Art Center to Harmon Avenue for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“It’s a great thing for the community,” said Mullen. “It should be really fun.”

The board entered into executive session to discuss staffing of the police department and pending litigation.
“I’m happy to say that right now we’re interviewing potential police officers for the Village of Pelham,” said Trustee Hanan Eldhary. “We have two current openings and a couple of really good potential hires that hopefully our residents will see patrolling the streets very soon.”
