Fifth graders from Siwanoy Elementary School helped plant a new micro-forest on October 10. Siwanoy announced the initiative in September.
“The students were very engaged, and they were excited to learn about all the types of animals that may find a home in the new forest,” said Anna Simonsen-Meehan, Siwanoy’s outdoor classroom expert.
