Four PMHS seniors were recently honored as part of Westchester County’s celebration of Italian Heritage and Culture Month, which is celebrated in October!
On October 16, Gianluca Polenzani and Christian Prencis were invited to attend an Italian flag raising ceremony in White Plains hosted by Westchester County Executive George Latimer. Both Gianluca and Christian were also awarded generous scholarships by the DeCicco family for their scholastic achievement. The following week on October 24, Julia and Kira Findikyan were invited to the Westchester County Executive proclamation ceremony at Somers Middle School and were presented certificates recognizing their outstanding performance in the study of Italian. At the same ceremony, PMHS Italian Teachers Signora Caparotta and Signora Prignano were also recognized for their dedication to teaching Italian.
Please join us in congratulating Christian, Gianluca, Kira and Julia as well as our incredible Italian teachers!
Bravissimi!
