Vine Squad is Back! Help Save Our Trees.
After a tough winter kept us off the trails, EcoPel’s Vine Squad returns this March to cut harmful vines that strangle native trees and shrubs along the Hutchinson River Parkway (HRP) corridor — part of the Long Island Sound watershed.
Just 2 hours of volunteer work helps restore habitat and protect our community’s tree canopy and seedlings.
Saturday, March 14 – HRP Adopt-A-Highway Exit 5: Colonial Avenue & Wolf’s Lane, across from the Pelham Public Library.
Sunday, March 29 – HRP Adopt-A-Highway Exit 4B: Boston Post Road & Split Rock Road.
The reaping goes from 10 AM – 12 PM.
Wear: sturdy shoes, long sleeves, gloves (extras available), and BRING WATER!
First time? Just complete a quick volunteer waiver. Walk-Ins welcome. Sign up here: https://forms.gle/
Bring a friend — many hands save more trees! Large group? Drop us a line, so we bring extra supplies.
