Pamela J. Young of Mt. Kisco, NY, passed away on June 5, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in 1957 to Philip E. and Dorothy J. Young, she attended Pelham Memorial High School and graduated from Wesley College, now part of the Delaware State University.
Pam’s professional career included administrative and customer service positions in the fields of healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, insurance, and food ingredient sales and distribution. She also had her own house cleaning business at one time and previously worked as a devoted personal companion to an elderly woman. Most recently she worked for a local CPA.
Pam’s happy place was the beach, and she loved plants, gardening, and going to the New York Botanical Gardens. Her other favorite pastimes were reading, walking, beading, and other crafting projects. Pam made friends easily wherever she went. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Her thoughtfulness included always remembering the birthdays and anniversaries of everyone she knew and never going to visit anyone empty-handed.
Pam is survived by her mother, Dorothy Johnson Young, of Mount Kisco, NY, and her sister, Wendy C. Young, of New Rochelle, NY. She was predeceased by her father, Philip E. Young, in 2011.
