18 PMHS science research program students win awards at GENIUS Olympiad
From June 17-21, PMHS’s science research students competed at the GENIUS (Global Environmental Issues and Us) Olympiad held at SUNY Oswego.
Students qualified as finalists through a submission of their research paper, encompassing the work they have conducted in disciplines such as environmental science, behavioral science, and cell and molecular biology. Program director Steven Beltecas and teacher Joseph DiBello accompanied the Pelham finalists for the week.
The competition had representation from 75 countries and 39 states, and all 19 attending PMHS students came home with awards. Congratulations goes to the following students:
