Three join Pelham Art Center board

Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members for June 2018.

Joining the board will be Pelham residents Dr. Nandini Anandu, Kate Kerrigan, and Brooke C. Jones.

Kate Kerrigan has been the Chief Operating Officer at Beachworld Residential since 2011. Prior to joining Beachworld, Kate was the Senior Director at Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate at Columbia Business School after her time with the DUMBO Business Improvement District as Executive Director. Kate played an active role in leading the redevelopment of the destination neighborhood and creative hub “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass” from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Brooklyn Navy Yard along the waterfront. Mayor Bloomberg even honored her with the Development Award for Neighborhood Achievement. From 2001 to 2008 she worked with the Alliance for Downtown New York, holding various positions from supporting recovery and relief efforts to stabilize the business community, encourage tourism and assist residents in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. She later became their Vice President of External Affairs, managing the department created to streamline Lower Manhattan’s Business Improvement District and balance the commercial business agenda with the needs of residents and visitors. Kate attended Brown University for undergraduate and holds a law degree from New York Law School. She’s an active guest lecturer at various colleges, such as Columbia Business School, Brown University, New York Institute of Technology, Barnard College, and New York Law School. She is also on the Director’s Council of New Yorkers for Parks, a non-profit fighting for greener, cleaner, safer parks.

Brooke C. Jones is currently the Director and Co-Head of Americas Capital Strategies with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, a position she’s held since 2014. Brooke has worked with other notable financial banks such as Citi Group as the Director of Capital Introductions and Credit Suisse as Vice President of Capital Services. She obtained a Bachelors Degree from Hamilton College prior to attending the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

Brooke is an active member of the Pelham Country Club Admission and House Committee, involved with Huguenot Nursery School, and a member of the non-profit organization 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Pelham Art Center is a nonprofit educational and cultural institution committed to providing public access to see, study and experience the arts, foster lifelong arts appreciation and thereby strengthen the community. The Art Center was founded in 1970 and now serves more than 16,000 people each year.
