(Pelham, NY  October, 2019) On Saturday, November 16th at 8am, Huguenot Memorial Church will be holding its first annual ‘Giving 5K’. Coming at the start of the holiday season, this race is doing something special: instead of winners receiving a trophy, they will instead ‘win’ food donations to those in need:

  • The top overall male & female winner will win a Thanksgiving-in-a-Box ($69 value) donated in their name
  • Age group award winners will have non-perishable food items donated to HOPE Community Services Food Pantry.

All runners are also encouraged to bring additional non-perishable items for the food pantry.

This is a flat, fast and beautiful course with lots of opportunities to PR or get in a good speed workout for the Pelham Half.

Speaking of which: runners who participated in the 2019 Pelham Color Run and who run in the Huguenot Giving 5K and the 2019 Pelham Half & 10K will qualify for the new Pelham Triple Crown and earn a special award at the conclusion of the Pelham Half!

For more information and to register, go to Giving5K.com (or find the race under the events listing at Huguenot Memorial Church’s website huguenotchurch.org).

This race is co-sponsored by the Huguenot Fundraising Committee & Huguenot Mission Committee. Race proceeds will go to support the life and ministry of Huguenot Memorial Church.
