Quarantine
My family’s under quarantine
The coronavirus has been very mean
Can’t they just come up with a vaccine?
The country’s in the worst shape I’ve ever seen
Will I be here until I’m fifteen?
Or perhaps into my late teens?
This could be worse than I’ve forseen
I’d better stay super clean

It’s so nice to see a young person such as Evan Kaplan use his quarantine time to do something constructive like writing this poem. It’s important in times like this to express feelings, which includes fear, anger and confusion. Doing activities like this lessens the heavy load that young people should theoretically never have to feel. With care, we will work our way out of this and this will just be a bad memory. Keep it up Evan. I’m sure you will make it to fifteen and become a stellar young man!
