Editor’s note: This announcement was provided by the Pelham Public Library.

Dear Pelham Library Patrons, Friends and Neighbors,

We know that many of you have been missing the ability to borrow physical books, DVDs and CDs. The Library is pleased to announce that we will begin contact-free, pickup services beginning Monday, June 15th. We are eager to see you all again and get materials in your hands! Please note that you may only access items that are already on the shelves at the Pelham Library because intra-library loans within the Westchester Library System are still suspended. For full directions on how to place orders and pick up materials, click here. If you have any problems with your account or password, please call the library during regular library hours at 914-738-1234. You may also email the Library at [email protected] at any time. We’ve never done curbside before, so please bear with us as we work out any kinks!

Curbside pickup services are the first part of our staged reopening plan that we will be rolling out in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New York State Department of Health. To that end, we are instituting many precautions and modifications to our operations. We continue to offer virtual programs such as book groups on Zoom and storytime on Facebook Live and virtual notarization. We will also be launching an online summer reading program. As we roll out additional services based on a timetable set by state and local authorities, we will communicate that news to you as soon as possible.

Be safe and be well,

Patricia Perito

Library Director
