Today’s Con Ed call: Pelham Manor officials tell utility 25% of village still lacks power

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Village of Pelham Manor.

The Village Manager and the Mayor participated in today’s inter-municipal call with Con Ed’s incident command staff. We reported that 25% of our Village remains without power and reiterated that our streets are clear and ready for Con Ed restoration crews.

Con Ed reported that 53,000 Westchester County customers are still without power (representing 14% of the customer base). Yesterday, the utility restored power to 22,000 customers, and the goal is to restore 28,000 more today. We continue to advocate for service restoration in advance of Con Ed’s stated County-wide estimate of Tuesday, 8/11.

Dry ice is again available today at New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Avenue.

Con Ed expects to have a revised reimbursement form for customers available on its website later today.
