Pelham Manor police blotter: Sept. 7-24

Editor’s Note: This issue of the Pelham Manor police blotter did not contain specific times for certain reported events.

Sept. 9

A caller reported that they had been woken up by a noise in the middle of the night. At about 2:30 am, the caller checked his doorbell security system and saw a man wearing some type of headgear, walking down his driveway. The man approached the door, tried to open it, and looked through the window. Not long after, the man ran towards the street. Detectives were sent to photograph the scene and the complainant gave the surveillance footage to the officers. A clear picture of the party’s face was captured and appeared to match the description of a suspect for many overnight crimes in Pelham. The suspect was already taken into custody due to local charges. The suspect was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court.

Sept. 11

A walk-in reported an act of identity theft against her. She had stated the money was wirelessly stolen from her Chase bank account through her phone number. A few days earlier, she had received a notification from what appeared to be Verizon that her iCloud account had been deactivated. After calling the number provided, a Verizon employee stated that another phone was registered with the number. Shortly after, the complainant received a Chase fraud alert and noticed more money missing from the account. She froze her account and there is no further information reported at this time.

Sept. 17

A transfer call was received from NYPD 911. Upon being transferred, the officer spoke to a Chipotle employee who reported that a female had egged the front of the restaurant. The employee was unable to give a description of the female or the vehicle that she drove, however, she believes the party is the Ex-General Manager who had been fired the day before. Upon arrival, officers had seen eggshells and egg yolks along the side of the building and on the ground. A white Honda was seen as the suspect’s vehicle and was photographed. No further information.

Sept. 18

8:50 am — A walk-in reported acts of harassment that occurred between her and her soon to be ex-husband. She explained that her husband was making statements about her in the courtyard of where they were located. The complainant stated that her attorney recommended that she speaks with the police regarding the matter. She believes that her husband was recording her on his cellphone. Nothing further to report at this time.

Sept. 20

A call was received reporting a motor vehicle accident from a person, not on scene. The accident involved fluid spills, airbag deployment, and small children in the vehicles. The Pelham Manor Fire Department had been requested due to the spilled fluids and airbag deployment. Officers were dispatched and complainants were standing outside of the vehicle upon arrival. There seemed to be no injuries, however a medic was requested due to the involvement of the small children. No injuries were reported and only one vehicle required a tow.
