Angelina Burti Segno, 99, passed peacefully on December 31st, 2020. Beloved wife of Gennaro J Segno (deceased), loving mother of Patricia Borri (deceased), Mary Fontanello and Gene Segno Jr., devoted sister to Rosie Fiore and John Burti (both deceased), cherished grandmother of Christine, Richard, Michele, Lisa, John, Anthony and Michael, and great-grandmother to Nicholas, Stephen, Joshua, Samuel, Sydney, Michael, Louis and Charlotte. She was born in a small town near Salerno, Italy and immigrated on the USS America through Ellis Island, with her parents Anthony and Giovannina Burti and baby sister Rose at the age of (almost) two. She grew up in Jersey City, NJ but was a long-time resident of Pelham, NY with her loving husband. She worked as a seamstress, and later volunteered at the hospital and senior center. She was a devout Catholic, a great cook who hosted many elaborate family gatherings, enjoyed crocheting, playing cards with her friends at the senior center and attending senior trips. She never passed up an opportunity to dance at any party or to eat a chocolate treat. She lived a long and good life and lives on in our hearts. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in the form desired by family/friends. Private family service at Pelham Funeral Home. Internment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
