As part of an ongoing effort to support local businesses, specifically restaurants and eateries that continue to suffer through the pandemic, the Village of Pelham Manor and The Pelham Chamber of Commerce (pelhamNYchamber.com) are joining forces to increase outdoor dining options in the Village.

As of Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Pelham Manor restaurants and eateries will be allowed to have outdoor seating in accordance with specified parameters (ADA compliance, among others). In addition, the Chamber and the Village will be purchasing and setting up picnic tables in Veterans’ Park (corner of Pelhamdale Avenue and Boston Post Road) to extend outdoor seating for those getting take-out from local eateries. In support of this joint effort, the Pelham Chamber of Commerce will be donating $1,000 for the purchase – redistributing funds from the County First Business Grant they secured earlier this year.

“As we look forward toward spring and the warmer weather we can’t wait to see more people enjoying outdoor dining,” said Cristina Chianese, President of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to join forces with Pelham Manor to help our businesses provide more options for their patrons so they not just survive but thrive in the coming months.”

“Pelham Manor has so much to offer from terrific restaurants, bakeries, and eateries to small businesses and beautiful outdoor spaces,” said Pelham Manor Mayor Jennifer Lapey. “Leveraging our public spaces like Veteran’s Park to provide people with additional safe options to take advantage of it all is something we’re really looking forward to. We are to the Pelham Chamber of Commerce for their support and are happy to partner with them in this joint creative endeavor.”
