Support Pelham schools, and receive a blue ribbon at your home on May 1

The Pelham Education Foundation is thrilled to announce that its “non-event” fundraiser, Ribbon Day, will be held on Saturday, May 1. All donors who contribute to the PEF by April 29 (at any level) will be recognized with a blue ribbon outside of their home or business as a token of gratitude. After having to postpone its 2020 fundraiser last May, the PEF is especially looking forward to celebrating its generous donors this spring.

“All of us at the Pelham Education Foundation are so excited about the return of Ribbon Day on May 1st,” said Julia Fuller, President of the Pelham Education Foundation. “It’s a great opportunity to celebrate what makes Pelham such a special community. This has been an unusual year, but people rallied, and we were able to do a lot in spite of the challenges. Now we’re really happy to partner with the Pelham schools to support the return to full-time in-person instruction and do so much more together.”

For 25 years, the Pelham Education Foundation has worked to enhance the quality of public education in Pelham with the help of parents, students, educators, alumni, businesses, and foundations. The PEF funds educational programs that are outside the annual school budget and awards grants for projects that:

• Strengthen and enrich curriculum
• Develop and promote innovative programs
• Support additional faculty training and resources
• Provide funding for special school facilities and equipment

This year, the PEF is also proud to be able to support the district’s Covid relief efforts as need arises.
