The National Weather has advised that showers and thunderstorms are expected, along with a slow moving cold front this afternoon through early Friday.

There is a flash flood watch in effect from 4:00 p.m. this afternoon until 8:00 a.m. Friday across NE NJ, NYC, Nassau County NY, Fairfield County CT and the Lower Hudson Valley. There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms as well.

In accordance with our practices in advance of possible storms, our DPW crew has cleaned catch basins to remove potential obstructions.
