Winterfest returns Saturday with music, lights and treats via walk or drive around Pelham

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by Pelham Together. The Pelham Examiner publishes press releases in the form received as a service to the community.

A January DELIGHT is in store for Pelham neighbors on January 8th, 4-7pm!  Pelham Together has found a way to extend the beauty of the holidays while giving us all a way to be TOGETHER, while safely apart.

Pelham Together’s second annual WinterFest invites families to walk or drive around Pelham to enjoy lights, music, and treats!  We are asking neighbors to help extend the magic of the holiday by keeping their holiday lights glowing a little longer this year – until Saturday, Jan 8th.  A map highlighting musical acts, lights, and where snacks are sold, will be available for a $10 donation to Pelham Together, available at pelhamtogether.org, click on WINTERFEST 2022.  Musical acts will perform for 30 minute sets, a full schedule will be available with the map.

WinterFest was originally the idea of Pelham Together’s Mental Health Committee, led by Melissa Ronan, a member of the Pelham Together Executive Board.  Her original motivation still rings true today: “We’ve been hoping to find new ways to bring Pelham together in the pandemic and this idea was spot on. It allows us to all connect in a safe way, surrounded by the brightest parts of the season – beautiful lights, music from local talent, and yummy treats.”

Many of last year’s musical acts will return, with some new ones joining in.  The home base for the event will be at the Gazebo, where music will begin just before 4pm, and baked goods from local providers will be available for sale, along with the map and schedule of performances ($10, donation to Pelham Together).  Stop by to get your map, stock up on treats for the way, and then carry on for an evening of good music and good cheer!

Details are available on pelhamtogether.org.  If you’d like your house to appear on the map as a “lights” location, to distribute treats, or to register as a musical act, that form is also available on our website.
