Westchester police, including Manor dept., caravaning to 32nd Precinct in tribute to fallen officer

 (Hawthorne, NY) – Several dozen police departments from Westchester County and the northern suburbs will travel in a caravan to the 32nd Precinct on Sunday afternoon in a show of support for the NYPD and in tribute to its fallen officer.

The police departments will be bringing food, flowers and cards to support the members of the 32nd Precinct and the NYPD at this tragic time. The PBAs and police fraternal organizations in Westchester will also be making a donation to the fund established by the NYPD to support the family of Police Officer Jason Rivera who was murdered on Friday.

The timeline:

Noon: Police departments to meet/line up at the Westchester County Police Academy, 2 Dana Road, Valhalla, N.Y. 10595.

12:20 to 12:30 p.m. – Leave the Police Academy and travel to the 32nd Precinct, 250 West 135th Street, Manhattan.

1 p.m. – Estimated arrival time at the 32nd Precinct.

Media are invited to come to the Westchester Police Academy or meet us at the 32nd Precinct. Organizers of the event from the Westchester County Police will be available for interview.
