Joseph Keating – Jan. 25

Joseph F. Keating “JFK” of Pelham, New York, passed away on January 25th, 2022. He was 56 years old.  He is survived by his wife Angela, and their sons Vincent and Anthony. Born in the Bronx to Raymond and Margaret Keating, Joe was the youngest of 10 children. He was raised in Throggs Neck area of the Bronx before moving to Co-op city at the age of nine. He graduated from Harry S. Truman High school where he excelled in history and golf. It was also during his high school years that he would meet the love of his life Angela Racanelli.

After graduating from high school, he attended City College where he received a degree in Architecture. Joe and Angela would eventually get married at Our Lady of Assumption Church. The couple moved to Pelham and raised a family.

In his spare time Joe loved studying Tiffany glass, sculpting, photography and traveling. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and building fires. He travelled to the Grand Canyon three times camping with his friends. Joseph will be remembered as easy going, artistic and a family guy. He enjoyed taking trips with his family, taking pictures and was extremely patriotic.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Tuesday, February 1st from 4-8PM. A funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 575 Fowler Avenue, Pelham Manor, New York on Wednesday, February 2nd at 10:00AM. Interment will be private.
