Undefeated PMHS boys swim team wins division for second straight year
The Pelham varsity boys swimming team won its division Monday, following an undefeated 6-0-1 season.
The Pelicans achieved statement victories against programs like Nyack and Harrison to secure their second consecutive championship.
“This season was a ton of fun,” said senior captain Jack Tirsch. “We had a great group of people and swimmers, so that definitely added to it. We knew we had a really good chance at winning the division going into the season, so we just stayed focused throughout the season and performed like we expected to.”
Boys swim joins one of several Pelham teams that have enjoyed great success this winter. With sectionals coming up next week, the swimmers hope to continue their hot streak.
