Champ to present proposed 2022-23 budget Wednesday at school board meeting

The Board of Education will meet at 6pm on Wednesday, February 16 in the Chorus Room of Pelham Middle School (Room 054) located at 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. It is anticipated that the Board will immediately consider a motion to enter executive session to discuss the record of a particular student(s) and discuss matters that are exempt from the requirement of the Open Meetings Law related to considering interpersonal relations and improving team building/communications skills. The Board is expected to reconvene in public at approximately 7:30pm for the regular business portion of the meeting in the Middle School Library. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube live.
Members of the public may attend the meeting in-person. Capacity will be limited due to 6 ft. physical distancing requirements and masks will be required for those in attendance. Accordingly, public comment will be held in person.
At the meeting, Dr. Champ will present an overview of the Superintendent’s Proposed 2022-23 Budget.
In addition to Dr. Champ’s Superintendent’s report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, Finances and Facilities, and the three goal areas of the Strategic Plan: Cultural Competence, Authentic Learning, and the Whole Child.
The Board may also review and/or adopt the following policies: Policy #7554 Dignity for all Students Act (DASA), Policy #7552 Bullying in the Schools and Policy #3422 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. These policies will be available for review on BoardDocs as part of the meeting agenda.
