Foto Feature: 91-year-old Hutchinson School reduced to rubble
Over the past three weeks, a demolition crew tore down the old Hutchinson Elementary School to make room for athletic fields, playgrounds, a student garden and outdoor dining/gathering areas for the new Hutch, which opened to students in the fall.
The old school, which first welcomed classes in 1930, was decommissioned in June.

So sorry. My dad went to the Hutchinson School before his parents sent him to Iona in New Rochelle for jr school. Pelham Public Schools are the best he said. I graduated PMHS in ‘1962. My brother in 1964 and my dad probably around 1929. “You will make great friends at Pelham High” my dad told us.

So sad ..Three Generations of Bonfiglios left their marks behind.
I wish I could be there to secure one brick for each of us that started our academic careers within these hallowed classrooms and hallways.

Going down Lincoln Avenue will never be the same. Whenever I was in town I always looked up as I passed by.
