Prospect Hill team and third grader Ari Drucker collect trophies at state chess tournament

The Prospect Hill Chess Team suited up for the tournament.

Pelham Chess had a great showing at the New York State Scholastic Chess Championship in Saratoga this weekend. Prospect Hill third grader Ari Drucker placed third in the Primary Championship section. The Prospect Hill Team came in fourth place in the Primary Championship Team section. A new trophy will be coming home to Prospect Hill for the trophy case in the grand hallway. The Prospect Hill team consists of second grader Drew Rosado and third graders James Bartlett, Patrick Vitale and Drucker. Siwanoy was  represented by second grader Eryk Kronieczny. They are all being coached by Pelham Chess teacher Mike Ellenbogen.
