Editor’s note: This press release and photo were provided by the Village of Pelham Manor. The Pelham Examiner publishes press releases in the form received as a service to the community.

As part of Pelham Manor’s ongoing collaboration and advocacy with state elected officials and the NYS DOT, Mayor Jennifer Lapey and Village Manager John Pierpont joined Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, her staff, and NYS DOT engineers for an on-site discussion about pedestrian and traffic safety on Boston Post Road, which is state controlled. A staff member from State Senator Alessandra Biaggi’s office also joined this meeting. Pelham Manor welcomes and appreciates the continued efforts of our state officials in helping to promote safety on this important, state-maintained road.

Discussion included a review of the many action steps taken to date, as well as possible additional efforts, with direct consideration of feedback made to the Pelham Manor Board, administration, and state officials. Pelham Manor will provide a comprehensive update at Monday’s Board meeting, in keeping with our commitment to communication.
