Kate Douglass wins two gold medals at World Short Course Swimming Championships
Kate Douglass won two individual gold medals this week at the 2022 World Short Course Swimming Championships in Melbourne, Australia. Douglass, a PMHS graduate, swims for the University of Virginia.
On Tuesday, Douglass set a new American record in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:02. Two days later, Douglass won the 200 breastroke, breaking a decade-old championship record. Douglass leads all of Team USA with five medals at this year’s world championships.
