Christian Hodge resigns as athletic director of Pelham school district
Athletic Director Christian Hodge has resigned after three years on the job in the Pelham school district.
Hodge is leaving effective March 10 to take a similar position at another school district, according to an email sent to parents Wednesday by Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Champ. Champ said the search for a new athletic director has started, and the district aims to find a replacement by July 1.
“Mr. Hodge joined the Pelham schools in 2020 and skillfully led our athletic program through some of the most unique school years in history,” said Champ’s email.
Hodge is the second Pelham administrator to resign in the middle of the school year in the past 12 months, which is unusual as most such transitions occur over the summer break. Last February, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services Julia Chung resigned effective March 4 after two years with the school system.
