Four Pelham student actors receive honors in 2022 BroadwayWorld Awards
Four Pelham student actors collected honors in the 2022 BroadwayWorld Rockland/Westchester Awards, with Jeremy Tan winning Best Supporting Performer in a Play for his performance in “Clue” at Pelham Memorial High School while also taking runner-up for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for his work in Soop Theatre Company’s “Rent School Edition,” according to the BroadwayWorld website.
Maddy Lyons and Oliver Tam were both honored as runners-up for Best Performer in a Musical for their work in “Rent School Edition.”
Katie Scott was named a runner-up for Best Supporting Performer in a Play for her performance in “Clue.”
Other BroadwayWorld awards for the local shows, as well as Pelham-based SOOP’s “Be Still Be Silent,” which had an adult cast, included:
- Lena Gilbert, runner-up for Best Choreography of a Play or Musical, “Rent School Edition.”
- Paul Romanello, runner-up for Best Direction of a Musical, “Rent School Edition.”
- John Treacy Egan, winner of Best Direction of a Play, “Be Still Be Silent.”
- Runner-up for Best Ensemble Performance, SOOP’s “Rent School Edition.”
- Jeanne Ann Carter, runner-up for Best Lighting Design, “Be Still Be Silent.
- T.C. Kincer, runner-up for Best Music Direction and Orchestra Performance, “Rent School Edition.”
- Winner of Best New Play or Musical, “Be Still Be Silent” by Daniel Tobias.
- Runner-up for Best Play, “Be Still Be Silent” by Daniel Tobias.
- Reilly Rabitaille, runner-up for Best Scenic Design, “Be Still Be Silent.”
- Josh Hyman, runner-up for Best Supporting Performer in a Play, “Be Still Be Silent.”
