For the first time since Winterfest started three years ago, Pelham Together was able to move past Covid-19 restrictions. Winterfest was hosted on Feb. 4 and originally was to be held outdoors in the Gazebo but moved indoors at the Daronco Townhouse due to cold weather. Winterfest displayed the talents of many local musicians as well as chefs in the debut of the “Chili Your Way” showcase.

“We’ve been getting closer and closer to being physically together, and we’re finally all in one place this year,” said Pelham Together Executive Director Laura Caruso.

In recent years, Pelham Together has made efforts to expose Pelham’s community to young local artists, with events like Winterfest and Summerfest. As more and more performers emerge, the community has been able to provide them with opportunities to grow.

The festival featured bands such as The Jenners, Crimson Utopia and SOAP, as well as Pelham artists Grace Kiamie and Leo I Garcia.

“I think Pelham does a good job of supporting young artists, but there’s definitely more that can be done for us,” said performer Julian Kalehoff.
