Congratulations to PMHS Seniors Leila Brady, Katie Brandler, Victor Chang, Julia Meyerson and Adina Sasson who have all been named as Finalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Awards Competition! These five students had previously been named as semifinalists in the fall.

By qualifying as a finalist, the students are now among the 15,000 students across the country who are eligible to earn one of 7,250 Merit Scholarships this year. The students advanced to the semifinalist round by scoring among the highest in their respective states on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last year. To advance to the finalist round, students must meet high academic standards along with other requirements.

“I am incredibly proud that all five of our National Merit Semifinalists have advanced to the Finalist round,” said PMHS Principal Mark Berkowitz. “In addition to their academic excellence, these students represent our high school and community with pride. On behalf of the high school, I want to congratulate Leila, Katie, Victor, Julia and Adina and wish them the best of luck in the scholarship round of the competition and in the years ahead.”
