PMHS senior Luke Green named LoHud ice hockey player of the year
Pelham’s very own Luke Green has been chosen as this years Westchester/Putnam ice hockey player of the year by LoHud magazine. This award comes after an extremely impressive senior season, where Green boasted an impressive 20 goals and 38 assists, while also helping captain Pelham to their second consecutive state final.
“It’s an honor to be named for such a great award, but I couldn’t have done it without the rest of the guys,” said captain Luke Green. “We really had to rally each other up this year, and ending my high school career with a trip to the state final is something special.”
Green has been a three season varsity athlete for all four years of his high school career, playing on the Football, Ice Hockey and Baseball teams, and is set to continue his athletic career at Indiana’s Butler University, where he has committed for Division I football.
