Today and during the month of June, we commemorate the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month. We recognize the strength and courage of those in the LGBTQ+ community today and in previous years, celebrating their achievements and advances. We honor everyone who takes a stand for civil rights and everyone who freely and publicly lives the truth of their lives. The Village of Pelham Manor remains committed to promoting an inclusive community with equality, respect and dignity for all. Pelham Manor is honored to celebrate Pride Month along with our residents in the LGBTQ+ community. The Library of Congress provides a historical background for Pride Month.
