Donald Wynne – July 7

Donald (Don) Francis Wynne, a resident of Eastchester, NY, passed away on July 7, 2023 at the age of 75, at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY.

Don was born in Bronx, NY, August 21, 1947 to Francis and Margaret (McCormack) Wynne. Don was one of five children including his brothers Robert, Brian and Kenneth and his sister Patricia.

Don met his future wife, Carmela Carlino, after high school and they were married in November of 1970. They continued to reside in Bronx, NY, later moving to Pelham Manor, NY.

In 1967 Don was drafted into the US Army and bravely fought in Vietnam, where he was ultimately awarded a Purple Heart along with other various service medals. In 1969 he was retired from the Army and began his profession as a film technician.

Don is survived by his devoted wife Carmela, loving children, Stefanie Wynne of Pelham, NY and Tricia (Stephen) DiNatale of Pelham, NY and his adoring granddaughters, Kayleigh, Regan and Ella DiNatale.  He will be missed by his siblings Kenneth (Dori) Wynne of Alabama, Patricia (Scott) Walters of New Rochelle, NY, and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Don is predeceased by his parents Francis and Margaret Wynne and his brothers Robert and Brian Wynne.

The visitation service for family and friends to pay their respects to Donald will be held at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham NY 10803 on July 15, 2023. The visitation will take place from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, giving loved ones an opportunity to share their condolences. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, located at 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers. the family asks that donations be made in Donald’s name to Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461. www.CalvaryHospital.org.
