Anne Corrigan – Aug. 3

Anne Corrigan, beloved Sister, Aunt, and Great Aunt, passed away on August 3, 2023 at Schaffer Extended Care Center in New Rochelle, NY.  She was born on August 2, 1951, in Mount Vernon, NY, to Edward Gabriel and Sally Jane Corrigan and lived in Pelham for most of her life. She was the oldest of three sisters and grew up on Third Avenue in Pelham. She graduated from St Catherine’s Grammar School in 8th Grade and was an Honor Student at Pelham Memorial High School. Being an avid reader and lover of literature in High School, after graduation, she attended Thomas Moore College, Fordham University, where she earned her degree in English in 1973.  She also attended NYU Information Technologies Institute earning a diploma in Computer Programming and completed Iona College’s Master of Business Administration Program.

She worked in New York City from 1974 to 1986 as a Supervisor of Operations for Warburg, Pincus Counselors, Inc. managing a seven-support staff who handled trade transactions and advised portfolio administrators on performance reporting.  In later years, she worked at Iona College as Assistant Director of Development.

She was a great lover of music and in her early years played both the Piano and the Guitar. She loved live bands and was a great follower of the Pelham Music scene. In her later years, she attended many concerts at the Caramoor Center for Music and Arts and live performances of Musicals at Bedford Community Theatre.

Anne loved her Sports Teams too. She was a loyal Notre Dame Football Fan and followed the New York Yankees throughout the summer and fall months.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Anne Corrigan who fought a courageous battle with Cancer until the very end. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anne leaves behind her surviving family, including her sister Kathleen (Richard) Cleary, sister Margaret (John) Stapleton, nephew Richard Patrick Cleary, niece Meaghan Jane Cleary, nephew John Stapleton, nephew William Stapleton, niece Katherine Robison, niece Claire Bollerman and six great-nieces and nephews.

The services to honor Anne Corrigan’s life will be held on August 10th, 2023.  The visitation will take place from 8:00 to 9:30 AM at Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803. Following the visitation, a Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 559 Pelham Manor Rd., Pelham, NY 10803, starting at 10:00 AM. Finally, Anne will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery Inc. in Mt. Kisco, NY at 12:45PM.

Anne Corrigan’s memory will forever remain in our hearts. May she find eternal peace in the loving arms of God and may her legacy continue to inspire us all to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
