Want to write for the Pelham Examiner? Come to our open house Wednesday 3 pm to 6 pm at JCafe

The Pelham Examiner will hold an open house tomorrow (Wednesday) at JCafe for those 13 years old and up interested in joining the staff of Pelham’s nonprofit community newspaper.

Editors will be on hand, along with Executive Director Rich Zahradnik, to answers questions, provide information and sign up anyone who is interested in joining the staff right then and there.

We’re looking for reporters to cover news, government, education, sports, business, features, profiles, entertainment and a wide range of events. We also need photographers and staffers who can both write stories and take pictures.

There are no auditions, try outs, common essays, supplemental essays or applications. If you want to join, you’re in. We’ll train you as you go. We work around busy schedules. We hope staff reporters will write a story every month or so—though more are welcome and some do write more. Should you want to become an editor, there would be a greater time commitment.

If you can’t stop by, email us at [email protected] or talk to one of the editors. They’re listed on our staff page.
