Endorses Bennett and Owen-Michaane for reelection to Manor board because of commitment to village services, community

To the editor:

We proudly endorse the reelection of Trustee and Deputy Mayor Breda Bennett and Trustee Maurice Owen-Michaane for another term as stewards of the Village of Pelham Manor.

As individuals who value the vitality and security of our community, Bennett and Owen-Michaane stand out for their unwavering commitment to village services that directly impact our daily lives. Their dedication to ensuring responsive police, fire and department of public works services, including the invaluable twice-weekly trash pickup, is a testament to their profound understanding of the needs of families like ours.

In our household, my husband Conrad and I firmly believe that local elections should hinge upon the demonstrated competence, integrity and intimate familiarity with our community’s needs. Bennett and Owen-Michaane epitomize these qualities, tirelessly addressing critical issues such as financial stewardship, pedestrian safety, environmental concerns and the promotion of local harmony. Their tireless efforts to safeguard Pelham Manor as a haven for all reflect an unparalleled dedication and a deep-rooted commitment to our collective prosperity.

Their leadership is marked by competence, collaboration and an unwavering dedication to the service of our community, as evidenced by their tireless advocacy for our interests and championing of the Pelham community.

Our steadfast support for Bennett and Owen-Michaane stems from firsthand experience of the transformative impact of their leadership on our village. Having worked firsthand with Bennett and Owen-Michaane in their roles as trustees, I can attest to their tireless advocacy, availability day or night, in addressing residents’ needs, consistently delivering on their promises, whether through implementing enhanced pedestrian safety measures or maintaining low taxes.

As the March 19 Pelham Manor village election comes upon us, we urge our fellow residents to join us in casting their votes to reelect Trustee and Deputy Mayor Breda Bennett and Trustee Maurice Owen-Michaane. Let us continue to entrust our Village of Pelham Manor government to proven leaders who prioritize the well-being of our community and tirelessly strive to secure its prosperity for generations to come.
