On March 21st, DeCicco & Sons’ Armonk was buzzing with excitement as they hosted the kickoff event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s annual fundraising campaign in Westchester. This month-long initiative will wrap up with the Walk MS: Westchester on May 5th, where we expect around 600 people to come together at the NEW Walk MS: Westchester event. This event aims to spotlight the importance of a strong support system for those living with MS.
For several years, DeCicco and Sons has been a proud sponsor of the MS Society. Last year alone, they raised $40,000 to help find a cure for MS. This year, they’re setting their sights even higher in their fundraising efforts for this important cause.
On Sunday, May 5, 600 people are expected to rally at the NEW Walk MS: Westchester event which will showcase why it’s important for people with MS to be surrounded by the care and understanding of their support system.
Hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, attendees arriving on the day of Walk MS can expect energy and excitement that’s palpable because they are part of the nationwide Walk MS community, moving together toward a better future for everyone affected by MS.
DeCicco & Son’s partnership will help to achieve our $370,000 goal by fundraising at 10 of their store locations from March 17 – 31 to support MS awareness month. Led by Luisa DeCicco, DeCicco & Sons generated $40,000 in 2023 to support the National MS Society’s mission of funding breakthroughs for a cure.
“We are so excited to share the new, energizing experience at Walk MS: Westchester,” says Dana Miele, President of the National MS Society’s Greater New York City- Long Island Market. “We hope everyone will join us and be a part of something powerful, that’s going to change the world for people with MS because a cure is on the line.”
Walk MS brings friends and family, loved ones, and the MS community, together to demonstrate support and solidarity for people with MS—because no one should have to face this disease alone.
