Pelham Rec seventh/eighth and fifth grade girls basketball teams go to finals at County Center All Star Championship

The Pelham Recreation seventh/eighth grade and fifth grade girls basketball teams both made it to the finals at the County Center All Star Championship.

After a close game with Eastchester, the seventh/eighth grade team took home the runners-up metal. The fifth grade team played a tough match against Eastchester’s 6th graders, also finishing second in the tournament.

The seventh/eighth grade team included Sophie McCann, Kayla Navarrete, Addison Keating, Jean English, Caroline Gould, Josephine Gilmartin, Gianna Salerno, Grace Speros, Despina Nicastri, Kiri Augeri and Jane Stamp. They were coached by Harry Bartley and Devin Rafferty.

Players on the fifth grade team were Emily McCann, April Hambright, Morgan Quirolo, Reagan Keating, Valentina Navarrete, Maria Rey, Carly Cipriano, Angelina Markovic, Hailey Shinnefield and Mackenzie Webb. There coaches were Gabriella Sgobbo and Jeremy Camiguel.
