Lauren Gibaldi stepped down as co-owner of the Flour Power bakery located at Four Corners, according to a Dec. 29 post on the store’s Instagram page.
Co-founder and now sole-owner Miranda Bucciero said in the post, “Earlier this year, my co-owner and best friend Lauren made the decision to step down at the end of the 2024 holiday season to embark on a new chapter in her life. While it’s bittersweet for all of us, and not a decision that was made lightly, I want to make sure we take the time to celebrate what we’ve built together.”
“Flour Power is a business built on friendship and a dream,” said Bucciero. “From making cupcakes at my parents’ kitchen table to putting down roots in a brick-and-mortar store, Flour Power has grown into so much more than I could have ever hoped for. Our bakeshop has become a celebration of facing challenges with courage, a place where people can come to share in life’s milestones, big and small. That spirit is as strong as ever, and I’m more inspired and excited than ever as we look toward the future.”
“To our customers, we’ve taken every step to ensure you’ll continue to receive the service you’ve come to love,” she said. “While everyone at the shop will miss Lauren, the impact she made on Flour Power will always remain baked into our story.”
The business opened in 2021, leasing the space that had been occupied by the Bakery at Four Corners until 2018, and has since became a main attraction at Four Corners. Many of the comments on the Instagram post were supportive of Gibaldi’s decision and wished her well.

As the now sole owner of Flour Power, I would encourage all of our customers, and anyone reading this article to read our full statement (which can be found on Flour Power’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) on Lauren’s choice to step away from Flour Power. I am so SO grateful to continue operating Flour Power as you all have come to know and love, although Lauren may not be part of the business any longer, her hard work over the last 4 years has helped contribute to a solid foundation that I believe will allow the bakery to continue to grow and thrive. Sorry, there’s nothing more exciting to share here – just an entrepreneur who wanted a career change!

As a former President of the Chamber, I’ve heard from several people today asking about the story behind this. The truth is, there’s no hidden scoop. Lauren and Miranda have shared a beautiful chapter of friendship and entrepreneurship, building a business that this community has truly embraced and loves.
For Lauren, it’s simply time to begin a new chapter. And for Miranda, it’s time to dive even deeper and continue to grow Flour Power. The message shared by Flour Power is exactly that — a story of two incredible friends who believed in their talents and dreams, built something remarkable together, and left an indelible mark on our community.
This isn’t the end of their story; it’s an evolution of it. We’ll continue to celebrate their success and support Flour Power as it grows in new ways.
