In a rare move, Pizza Fenice will open its doors in Pelham on Monday, November 10, 2025, for a one-day-only community event — “United We Slice” — in honor of Veterans Day and the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The fundraiser begins at 11 AM at 304 Fifth Avenue, and will continue until supplies last. Each 14” pizza will be sold for $20, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports veterans, first responders, and their families.
Although Mondays are typically a day off, owner John Gristina is volunteering his time — along with his team — to serve the community and honor those who’ve served our country.“I want you guys to do a full commitment — a full pie — on this,” Gristina told his staff. “These guys committed to us, to do right by us. We need to do the same thing.”
The event is made possible thanks to donated ingredients, and will also feature guest pizza makers and local veterans selling commemorative T-shirts, with all funds supporting the cause.
“Pizza Fenice has always been about more than just great pizza — it’s about showing up for our neighbors,” said Gristina.“This is our way of saying thank you to the men and women who’ve given so much for our freedom.”
Guests can donate directly at the event via QR code or through Pizza Fenice’s social media pages. The team encourages attendees to arrive early — pies will be available only while supplies last.
