The Westchester County Board of Elections has scheduled the recount for the Pelham Manor mayoral and trustee races for December 2, according to a notice sent today to the candidates.
“The Manual Recount of Absentee/Affidavit ballots and Machine Ballots will begin on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 and will take place at 445 Hamilton Ave, 8th Floor, White Plains, NY 10601. The canvass of these ballots conducting the Manual Recount will commence at 11:00 AM, until all ballots have been recounted,” the statement said.
The election officials will review all ballots cast in the mayoral race between incumbent Jennifer Monachino Lapey and Mark Cardwell, in which she holds a 20-vote lead, as well as the Board of Trustees race, in which incumbent Tim Case leads Ryan Kurtz by two votes. The recount is expected to conclude that same day.

I believe the trustees’ terms end prior to the recount date. It may be worth checking in with the county how they plan to deal with this. The November election will leave us either without a quorum or a certification prior to a recount.
