JH, the Fifth Avenue restaurant that had recently changed its name from Jordan Hall 10803, will close tomorrow, saying a shift in approach to “an alternative experience and great neighborhood bar at a more affordable price point” had not worked.

“Initially our vision was to deliver an exquisite high-end experience,” said a post on the two-year-old restaurant’s Facebook page. “One with great music, better food and a special bar scene. After 15 months, we realized that the demand for that experience was not what our little town needed. So with great deliberation and advice from a number of Pelham foodies, we re-branded Jordan Hall to JH. Unfortunately, neither vision has played out the way any of us would have hoped. Thus, with trepidation and sadness, we announce today that JH will be closing its doors on Monday, June 25.”

The statement, which was posted Friday, said the restaurant will honor all parties and reservations through today. “We will ensure that graduations and your special events will remain special of the highest quality.”

“We would like to thank all of you who have supported our restaurant over the last two years.”
